Incentivised Career Break

I've worked in my current job for the past 7 years and I'm thinking about taking an incentivised career break for 3 years. I'd like to find out if I'm unable to find another job would I be eligible for any type of social welfare payments considering that I will receive a lump sum payment when I finish.
I'll be taking a day off this week to go to my local citizen advice center but maybe somebody might be able to help me here? Thanks

You are not entitled to SW while on the career break. If, at the end of the 3 years, your employer can't take you back, then you may be eligible to sign (this is the case with ordinary career breaks at present).

You should check the small print on the incentivised career break scheme - I'm not sure that you're allowed to work (apart from self-employment) while on it.

Thanks gipimann. I've checked the smallprint and I can work in another job but not in the same sector.
