In need of some creative advice

Hi guys,

I've recently acquired my own study at home after securing a place at university and a few tantrums.

I would really like to personalise the room. It's very much like a blank canvas and I can do pretty much anything to it. I'm head over heels in love with black bold flowers on a light background. I've found just the right wallpaper [broken link removed]. I know that I only want it on the chimney breast but what colour would I do the rest of the room? I don't think I want it white or a pale cream.

Any suggestions?

I would go with an off white.
