Hi All

I am due in court on march the 5th for not paying a parking fine. I'm not trying to get out of paying any fine, I'm just wondering what I need to bring with me, I was onto the council and he just said I had to plead my case.

I didn't get a ticket, just a summons. Would be grateful if anyone can tell me what to expect. First time in court.

Hi hizzy, from passed experience with a parking and tax out of date fine in court when I attended, I just sat in the gallery as near to tne judge as possible (because sometimes it's quite hard to hear whats going on) and wait for you're name to be called.
Then just simply stand up and plead guilty when asked and then make sure to apologise to the judge and the court for wasting their time. Don't bother with the rambling giving excuses for not paying etc unless the judge asks. He's to busy for all that and has more important issues to deal with there. Good luck with it and dont worry.

Hi paddyjnr

Thanks for that, was just a little bit anxious as I've never been in court before. Won't make any excuse's either.

Thanks again
