in car dvd recommendations please

I am thinking of buying a dvd player for use by small children in the car. It is an mpv though so one child will be in the back row. What should I look out for in terms of screen size and flexibility? I don't want an expensive one either though it should be durable. It will not be for long journeys and is intended more as a distraction for one child who just does not like being in the car for very long. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks

we bought a technika (tesco own brand)in car dvd in nov approx. 99 euro with 30% back in vouchers. dvd player powered from cig lighter. two 7" screens on the headrests. have used it once or twice and very pleased with it. cannot argue with the price.think they have a similar offer on now. definitely worth a look.

how many kids will be in the car watching the TV?

If its just for one then a single unit might be better but we have a unit with 2 x 6.2" screens that works well with our 2. However I have it a few years and I think they now all come with 7" screens which would be better.

Can't remember the make (I think Ventura) and no problems.
 
ok thanks for that. I will check out my local tesco and see if they have anything. A twin screen would be good if available
