Implications of AIB shedding Aviva

I have an Ark Life policy that tracks the Irish stock Market with a sizeable value.
What are the implications of this move to me and has anyone got some advice?

Your policy will probably continue unaltered as an Aviva policy. There has been speculation that Irish Life staff may end up handling the administration on Ark Life policies but that's unconfirmed.

There will be no changes to the terms and conditions.

A little off topic, but what possessed you to invest in or remain invested in the Irish Stock market ? A sizable sum could have easily gained better growth than an Insurance company Investment. If you invested for a while, surely you should have considered moving the composition of the investment into markets that might have the ability to increase in value.
