Hi,
Anybody know what the best floors are for an area exposed to a lot of sunlight?
Thanks,
Niall.

A lot quality wooden flooring is treated to minimize how much it will darken
in sunlight. You should definitely ask about this when pricing floors.
I doubt if laminate is affected by this, as it is not an actual wooden surface.

As mentioned previously, the downstairs floors in our house have been doen for 50+ years without any problem due to sunlight.

Hall is Steamed beech; dining room is oak; sitting room also oak. (All wood blocks.)

I had laminate in my sitting room for three years which got an awful lot of direct sunlight and it was not affected.
My parents have Junkers and this does darken.
