Hi there,

I have my immersion water heater on a timer - since last week and after a local power cut the timer has not been "timing". There is power going to the timer and I can turn the immersion on manualy but the clock part of the timer is not moving.

I have switched on / off everyting in the hot press and reset the water heater trip on the fuse box but no joy - anybody any suggestions as to a possible cause and / or solution?

Does anyone know if immersion timer switches have a fuse? - maybe the fuse went when the electricity came back on after the power cut? - would that give me the symptoms above?

This is the timer I have: [broken link removed]

Any help greatly appreciated as cold showers in the morning are not my cup of tea!

See other thread on timer clocks that have failed over the last few weeks, all Apt makes , funny thing , all the sparks in our job reccommended them as they were very realible and lasted years !

Cheers secman- I hadn't seen that thread on the timers

So it looks like the best thing to do is to get a new timer! I was hoping to avoid that

Ah well
