I lost my job in Jan. so I have no income other then unemployement, but thats only $140 a week. It takes over $60 a week just to get the things I need for my 9 month old. I'm 25, and live in NY, while my parents live in NV. They had a house in NY which they havent sold yet (and I know they want to, they dont really have the money to pay the taxes on both place's) because they are allowing me to use it til I can get on my feet. I have to pay the bill's and the oil to heat the house, food, car insurence.....
I had an apartment and bills before I was pregnant, but ended up having to go out on medical for the whole pregnancy because it was high risk. I made $150 a week on medical, so got behind on rent and all the bill's (way behind) Then three months before I had my child, my medical ended all together so I didn't have any money. So I moved into their old house, since it was a lest a place to live. I did go back to work, but was being harassed by my boss because I wouldn't sleep with him. I turned it in and the place let me go. nice huh? Anyway's, because I was so behind on bill's the electric company woukdn't switch the bill's to my name, so my mom left it in her's, and I had to pay it when they came in. Now i'm getting so far behind in them, and trying to get the money to get oil every other month ($550 a pop) I don't know what to do. Can I get help from welfare even tho I'm living in one of their homes and most of the bill's are in their name?

Unfortunately, as this is an Irish website, it is unlikely that anyone here will be able to advise you in American welfare rights.
