Illness Benefit, being called for assessment while possibly on holidays?

Hi, This is my 1st post so I hope I am doing it correctly!! I'm currently recieving Illness Benefit for the last 10 weeks. We have had a holiday booked abroad since Dec for 10 days mid - May to attend a friends wedding.
I have never been called for a medical assessment as yet but people keep saying that I wil probably be called for one at some stage.
My GP said said as I suffer anxiety, stress and depression, she will continue to give me the certs for a while anyway. I'm just worried about getting a letter for an assessment while abroad?
Anybody been in this situation? I am due to see my GP again in 2 weeks time and will discuss this holiday further but I'm just thinking now about whether I can still go abroad or not and maybe how much notice they give you in this letter for your appointment? Any advice appreciated!! Thanks

you have no worries, enjoy your holiday, you will not be called for another 6 months or so.

Depends on the where you are on the depts hit list. Some people get called more frequently i.e. after 3 months and depending can get called back more often.

Normally they give you 2 weeks notice of an assessment.

And you are also entitled to go on holidays while on Illness Benefit
