Ill while on Jobseekers benefit

I have a couple of questions regarding becoming ill while on jobseekers benefit.

If you become ill say 7 or 8 months into your jobseekers benefit are you entitled to claim illness benefit if you have doctors notes to cover your illness? Also does your jobseekers benefit resume when you are better and are fit for work again up to your allowed 12 months claiming jobseekers benefit? I have searched citizens info etc but can't seem to make any sense of all the info on these sites.

Yes you claim illness benefit for the duration of your illness providing you have enough stamps. It doesn't take long to come through but there is a gap between your payments. Illness benefit is normally paid directly into your bank account.

when you are fit for work you resume your jobseekers claim. You qualify for the remainder of your entitlement providing you have enogh stamps.
