Massive crowd to be at Bruce Springsteen Concert tonight.

If you are exiting Cork through the Jack Lynch Tunnel get into the proper lane around Mahon/Blackrock exit.
1. Dublin/Fermoy/Mitchelstown/Tipperary traffic should be in the right most lane
2. Traffic for Youghal/Waterford should be in the lane left of that.

Warning:- Overhead signs are not the best on the approach to the Tunnel from Blackrock/Mahon/Douglas, so take care.

I hope you all have an enjoyable evening.

Yeah the Dunkettle is interesting now.

go a couple of k left to get in to the city was odd the first time I drove down a few months ago.

Sorry for bringing this to the fore again, but I’m trying to prevent accidents. Entering the Jack Lynch Tunnel and heading for Tipperary, Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly, Kildare, Dublin etc is not a comfortable drive. Your head is telling you the east most lane is for East Cork, Waterford, Wexford etc and the other lane is for all points north of Cork City. There is writing on the traffic lanes but heavy traffic means you can’t see this writing. There is one overhead sign showing relative lanes, but by the time you see this there’s a good chance you’ll find it trying to change lanes.

If you are heading for the Dublin Road get into the right hand lane as early as possible and obey the speed limits. Otherwise you’re dicing with your car stopping paint with another or worse.

Been down a few times since the DK opened

turning left to go into the city threw me first time.

Defo need your wits about you

It is easy to end up heading for little island when you planned to go somewhere else I have found, but once you see your destination on an overhead sign get in lane under the sign as early as possible. Using a satnav is very helpful, they seem up to date and on the ball.

I'd also love to see the Jack Lynch Tunnel renamed the Éamon De Valera Tunnel... just for the craic.
