Ideas for European Break-Austria/Croatia etc.

Can anyone recommend somewhere nice to go in Europe?
Into Mountains, Lakes, nice scenery as opposed to Sea n Sand!
Thinkin of Austria / Croatia...
Was in Switzerland (Geneva) and Chamonix in France last year, was lovely and looking for somewhere similar but nicer...

Please go to Slovenia, it shares the same mountain ranges as Austria.
great walking, country side people are very nice.

are a really nice places especially Luibjana
Country is also very cheap

we go there every year for the last 6 years....

I don't know if Slovenia is so cheap, but it is very beautiful in places, especially the lesser explored areas around Maribor.

If you're into lakes and mountains then Croatia is for you. Plitvice is lovely but not cheap, overrated and not so safe. Velebit, Dinara and the areas from Gospic to Knin, you can climb a mountain and see italy and the next climb Croatia's highest peak! My colleague is a walker so if you want any Croati info just drop me a line!

Thinking of going to Mlini near Dubrovnik in Croatia... Any thoughts? Mountains, lakes, sea, scenery?
