My little one (aged 3) finished playschool last week for the summer holidays and is at home with her Mammy. I'm looking for some ideas for things for them to do/days out etc over the summer holidays, just to get them out of the house. Needs not to be too strenuous as Mrs Sox is expecting and having a pretty rotten time of it at the minute.

Any suggestions very gratefully received.

The zoo is always a good idea (as long as the weather is ok) or maybe a trip to the beach. Not sure where you are but malahide beach is quite nice

Hope they have fun

Check out www.dublinkids.ie it lists events coming up in the summer.
Have a toddler myself and find the following good -
Imaginosity is good (if a little pricey) for day out.
A trip to Bray and a walk on the seafront.
Zoom (Greystones) / Spraoi (Long Mile Road) indoor playcentres on a wet day.
Dundrum town centre are having outdoor free cinema days coming up soon (and Hamley's is great entertainment)
Airfield farm in Dundrum.
Enjoy

What our fellas were into:
Get a dart/luas/bus day ticket and just wander, great fun.
Beach is brilliant, amusement for hours as long as it is dry - it does not have to be sunny, that's only what adults expect
Wander around Grafton Street and listen to buskkers and watch street performers
Picnic anywhere
Feed the ducks in stephens green & playground there
