Ideal mini C24 not detecting flame

I have an Ideal Mini C24 gas boiler which seems to only detect the flame intermittently. This is causing the boiler to go to lock out.
The boiler will light the flame after resetting it but continue to spark as if pcb is not detecting the flame and then go to lock out. Sometimes I can get it to continue to run but only if it stops sparking after the flame lights. I have checked the detection probe 0.7 ohms and changed the ign pcb. Any help appreciated.

Domestic gas boilers do not have a photo electric cell.

I am an RGII.
I agree with you Shane007. I am going to change the flame detection probe even though it is well within tolerance.
Thanks.

Also check the lead itself. I have come across them with dodgy connections leading to intermittent failure.

Changed detection probe and lead this did not fix the problem. While changing the probe I found the detection probe connected to the ign pin on the ign pcb therefore causing the spark to jump between all probes, i feel this may have damaged the ign pcb. I am going to change it and see what happens.

Connected up flame detection and ign leads correctly and replaced the ign pcb.
Boiler is now working as it should do.
Problem sorted!
Thanks to all.
