If you have been registered with the ICB, is it possible to get a morgage within the 5 year etc.

When you say registered, what do you mean?

The ICB holds info about all your loans etc. whether you repaid them or not.

Most lenders now supply the ICB with info on your loans and payment records and perform the check as a matter of course.

If you have missed payments or any other matters this does not necessarily mean you wont get a loan. Particularly if there is a good explanation for it.

The understanding is that the record 'falls' off after 5 years.

You could always pay the ICB to give you your record to see if it is accurate.
