I was wondering if anybody might help me. I was in Limerick train station today to enquire about the weekender card but was informed that they no longer issue them so the lady behind the counter advised me of the 16-25 Railcard. I have had one of these cards for the last 5 years but I turn 26 in approximately 3 weeks. My card expired about 3 weeks ago and I never bothered to renew it because of my upcoming birthday but the lady said as I was 25 I was entitled to apply for the card and that I would be fine whilst the card was in date. My question is will my card be only valid for 3 weeks if I was to apply now and then when I turn 26 will they refuse to give me the railcard price or if they issue the card is it then their problem and I am entitled to use the card until it expires. I am hoping somebodu has been in this situation before because even though it is only €10 it is still €10 I don't want to give to them unless I actually get to use the card!!
