I purchased a new car in February and for the first month was bombarded with customer satisfaction letters and phonecalls. I was very happy with the dealer and especially the sales person so I patiently participated in all of those.
The other day I open my letterbox to find a letter from a car dealer asking me to pop around the show room and collect my €250 voucher which I can put towards the car accessories or my next service. It turns out that all those surveys went into a draw. I know it isn't much but I've never won anything in my entire life and am chuffed about it.
No point to this post other than to say that for me it paid off acknowledging somebody's politeness and good work. (I wish my customers did the same)
