Sorry for ranting about this, but with the latest reports of a property tax, to add to the probably water tax too, I can understand people getting fed up.
But it seems that not ALL of us have to help dig the country out of the hole.
Once again certain sections of society have already been told that they will be exempt from the property tax, as they were for the water tax. So now many who have had big pay cuts, reduced hours and increasing mortgages will have to struggle to pay another unforeseen tax, while some can run all the water they want, collect big benefits and escape a property tax.
Is this fair?
I'm starting to think its time for the long term unemployed to have to serve some sort of 'national service', where their talents or time is used to the benefit of the country. Start with the longest first. Time for the free ride to end.
