I started a new thread which has been closed

Some one closed it as wrong forum.

Maybe they could have been kind enough to state which part of the forum it should have been in or move it to that part of the forum rather than just closing it.

Great way to treat a first time poster!

Ahh - Ok thanks. I came to this part of the forum after doing a search in Google for certain areas in Swords and Malahide, so that's where I posted.

If I copy my post into Location, Location, Location it will be OK will it?

I still can't see why a moderator didn't just move it in the first place instead of closing it. I moderate a forum with 1,300+ members (smaller than this forum I know) and always try to help new members with their posts.

I can't see why people don't read the Posting Guidelines before posting.

It would save the moderators a huge amount of time

It would save the other users the annoyance of seeing posts in the wrong forum.

We only move posts where there is some confusion over the different forums e.g. a business tax question could be asked in Taxation or in Askaboutbusiness.
