Hydro Power

I recently bought a rural property with a stream on the site. I would like to explore the possibility of harnessing power from the stream. Can anyone advise?

If you Google " micro hydro" you will find a lot of info.

If you flood your neighbours' land you will be liable for damages caused.

A few years ago I did a course in the Organic Centre in Rossinver, Co. Leitrim and it was given by a fellow whose name I forgot but he has a lot of experience installing and advising people on various forms of renewable energy.

if you phone the Organic Centre in Rossinver they will have his name as he regularily runs courses. You will find their number if you google the centre.
