New to this, so hope i'm posting in the right place. My husband and I are just recently married, and as the wedding was outside of the country, we have not got around to registering as married here for tax purposes.
He has recently been let go from his job, he was there 2 years, but they broke his service for a month, so he did not receive any redundancy. I am at present working 5 days a week, but have been told i am to go on a three day week in the near future. The mortgage is in my husbands name only. He is receiving €200 a week Jobseekers Benefit. My wages would be approx 300 for the three day week. Would we be entitled to Mortgage Interest Supplement or FIS? We also have two children, and a couple of loans in the bank.
