HTC Desire or the HTC Desire HD

Hi,

I damaged my phone and claimed on my insurance. They didnt have a replacement IPhone in stock and gave me a choice of any other phone. I chose the HTC Desire but they sent me the HTC Desire HD by accident. They said I can keep this if I want. Has anyone had either of these phones. My only reservation about the HD is that it might be a bit big. Any advice

I have the desire HD and my wife has the desire. There's not a lot to choose between them. I do like the bigger screen on the HD but the Desire screen is a bit crisp and brighter. I think it had an OLED screen though not all desires ship with this.

You may have a better chance of Android updates with the HD. The main differences are the camera 8mp vs 5mp, the screen size (3.7 in vs 4+ in) and battery life (pretty bad on both by slightly better on the Desire).

Given the choice though I would stick with the HD.
