HP LaserJet III Not Firing Up...

I have a HP LaserJet III printer. It's quite a few years old, and was working ok until I switched in on today.

When it's switched on it usually make quite a loud whirring noise. Though when I switched it on today, it's not making the same loud whirring noise; the noise is very muted. As if the fan is much quieter.

It also has a "50 Service" message on the small printer screen.

Would anyone know what might be wrong...? Thanks for any help!

Thanks very much Stobear! It's a 2nd hand printer, so I hadn't thought about checking the website you linked to. Thanks for that.

From what I've read, it appears to have a "Burnt out quartz fusing lamp". Whatever that is...!
