Howling Chimney!

On a windy day, the wind really howls down our chimney and apart from the noise, it creates a terrible draft. Does anyone know if this can be remedied - for example some sort of fitting to the put to prevent the downdraft? If so, where can they purchased?

If its a gas fire you can get an inner shield/coving (dont know the proper name) which blocks the down draft. Dont know where you reside but if in Dublin try "Heart and Home".
