I was living in USA for last 5 years illegally and have no tax records.I worked here previously for 10 years as a PAYE employee.I am starting a new job here but have no P 45 or P 60 to hand in.
I rang local revenue office but to no avail.Do I need to go an accountant or are there forms I can get to state my case,in order to comply.

Could you call into your local tax office and see if they could put you on a week 1 basis tax? then you wouldnt be paying the so much tax while you wait to get your tax-free allowance sorted.
Just apply for a Certificate of Tax Credits and Standard Rate Cut Off Point...search Revenue's website for Form 12A (the relevant form). Then just submit it to your local revenue office (ensuring to include your PPS number and your new employer's tax registration number). www.revenue.ie
