Some of my soffits have green mould on them. What's the best way to remove it? I don't want to rely completely on a power washer. Has anyone used mould spray for this problem?

I got up last year to do the fascia and soffit and just used warm water detergent, and one of those large sponges, rinsed them with the garden hose and put thompsons pvc cleaner on them, they came up really well. not something i would normally do but i was getting he house painted and i reckoned they would look pretty rubbish if i didnt, bit of time and effort but it was welll worth it,i had tried the power hose before but it didnt get them anywhere as good as they look now.

I do ours by hand also, just hot soapy water, sponge and wipe dry with old towel, Husband did powerwash once but left more of a mess, especially on the windows. The worst bit is the getting up and down along the front of our bungalow. We once had a big machine with platform for cutting the neighbors trees and i did the gables when there.

Pressure washer alone doesn't really "clean" them as effectively as hand wash... I usually hand wash one year, keep it clean with power washes (twice a year) the next year, then hand wash again... also by getting up there, you see if anything else needs a treating / cleaning...
