How To Protect Brick From Plastering?

Hi,

I'm in the process of getting my self build ready for external plastering (wet dash finish) but I have a major problem!
All windows have red brick reveals around them and the problem I have is how am I going to cover the brick to protect it from getting destroyed by the wet dash.
I've tried to get some heavy duty tape but it will not stick to the brick.
I don't fancy the idea of cutting plywood to the shape of the windows and reveals for each window because of the time and expense.
There must be some way around this, can anyone offer any advice?

One way could be to Use light batons to hold a piece of polythene sheeting to cover the window and the reveals. As you will need to protect the frames and glass also.
Plug and screw the batons to the extreme outside edge of brickwork. Do not attempt to use masonary nails, you will end up damageing the brickwork and make bigger holes in the mortar joints.
Good luck with it and rember a lot of time spent on it now will save a lifetime looking at what you should have done.
