How to multi delete text messages from new iphone 3gs?

Is it possible or do you have to do it one by one?

I find on nokias if you can connect to a pc either cable or bluetooth then you go through them on the pc and select lots of txts and just hit delete.

You can delete messages by doing either all from a person or individual messages.
Go into your SMS, to delete all from 1 or people - tap edit, select all the people you want the messages deleted for and tap delete.

To deleted individual messages withing a sms conversation, go into the conversation, tap edit, select which ones you want to delete and tap delete.
