Hi There,

We hired a tiler to tile our kitchen, utility, bathroom and hallway but the tiling job is quite poor and there is alot of very uneven tiles and a severe slope on one part of the kitchen floor.

Is this a case for the small claims court as to rectify the problem would cost a lot more than 2k but we probably could live with the floor as is and change it in a few years when we can afford it and 2k would go some way to paying that eventually?

The slope is caused by the kitchen having previously been half tiled and half solid wood floor. we wanted all the kitchen to be tiled and there was a dip between tiled area and wooden floor area. He did promise us that this could be easily rectified by plywood and leveller compound but there is still a massive slope and is very noticeable...
