how to make a septic tank bigger (for a school)

Just wondering how to make a septic tank bigger.
Its for a school, they would love to take in more children, have room for a prefab, but septic tank will explode.What would the cost be for a bigger , new one and is there a grant available?

this is probably a very technical question that should be addressed to an engineer or septic tank supplier. The current size will be important with a view to a bigger one. You may need a small treatment plant or a cheaper biocycle unit.

I would suggest that you get an engineer to advise. You could always tell him/her that you are a school and there is a good chance of free advice, provided he/she gets the contract for supervising the job, which can be done unde rthe 'summer jobs' scheme.
