How to make a house energy efficient?

Can anyone give me info re making a house energy efficient? Is there a company or individual that one can contact to see the best way to have a house efficient in energy usage. Someone that can do a 'stress test' on the places that are in need of insulation/change.
 
Get someone to do a BER survey.
That will show you everything good and bad about the house.
Or if you want to look up the details yourself

Can you contact either of these companies and get them to send someone around to do a report on the house... windows, walls, attic etc.....
