I can't remember seeing this mentioned in the thread, a very simple physical security technique to avoid being shoulder-surfed is to stand with your back to a solid, non-reflective surface when typing.

A side benefit for your fellow pedestrians is you are no longer standing stationary in the middle of a busy footpath creating an obstruction.
 
I see people doing it and I also hear them speak codes into phones/other devices, whether as part of a phone call or website interaction, I don't know. Don't underestimate Séan's or Síle's abilities to do mad stuff. I operate on the basis that the target for AAM help is the LCD/LCF* out there.

*I remember some of this stuff from when Pythagarous was a child and before Archimedes took a bath on bitcoin.

Ok, I'll bite - what's LCD/LCF?

I'm about to disable the ability to show notifications on screen- I will miss it, though. It's useful when logging in to some apps not to have to toggle screens!‍
 
One of threat advantages of having your cards on your watch/phone is being able to leave your wallet safely and securely at home.

The point about preventing incoming SMS messages from appearing/previewing on the lock screen is well made.

Which reminds me I’m due to add the “top 5” to the first post in this thread and revise the second post. I’ll aim to get it done this week.

For what it's worth, you may be able to stop lock screen notifications for some apps but allow them for others - e.g. stop them for all apps except WhatsApp:

Change notification settings on iPhone

In Settings on iPhone, choose which apps can send notifications, change the alert sound, allow government alerts, and more.

I use AIB Online and Internet banking on my iPhone and find the combination very good, very secure. I have the option of using the newish Apple Passwords app to login using my password. If I tab to select that option, the screen locks and the password field disappears. Next thing I'm into my selected account with nothing displayed on the screen until the selected account opens.

I went online immediately and froze my AIB Credit Card which I rarely use. It's just for emergencies.

I don't use my Revolut card much. But people do send payments to it occasionally. If I freeze it, can I still receive payments?

@BB I suggest to put all main money into a vault with revolut and just transfer it online when you need it.

It depends on which messaging apps you use.

WhatsApp claims end-to-end encryption as does Apple's Messages.

eir (then Eircom) used to charge me an extra €1 per message sent because Apple uses its private network to transport encrypted messages. They have since seen the error of their ways.
