Other Half bought himself a PS3 this week and now wants to have the facility to go online with it, which I have been tasked to do. I can't make much sense of the PS3 instructions both printed and online.

We have a standard eircom Home Plus bundle. Our router is a Netopia Cayman 3300 series but it only has one ethernet port. Would be have to unplug the pc and connect the ps3 each time or is there a way to either split the port or get another router with an extra port on it, can we even use our broadband on 2 machines at once?

We aren't in wi-fi area.

Replace your Netopia"caveman" with a 4 port wireless router.Give Eircom a ring. They might send you one of their latest routers.

I was kind of thinking along the same lines, it is rather old but has been adequate up to now.

I suppose it won't harm to ask them
