How to get rid of haze on windscreen

I'm wondering does anyone have any tips on how to get rid of
the haze on my windscreen.
It happens when the wipers move across the windscreen and is there
for about 3 to 4 seconds then fades away.
Vision is not too bad during daylight but i was driving in heavy rain last
saturday night and couldn't see a thing with the oncoming lights.
I have tried glass polish but no joy.

Anyone know of anything to solve this?

Try some vinegar and hot water on some newspaper and then wipe the windscreen.
