How to get a tax credit removed

Having just received my tax credit certificate for 2008, I notice that I have a tax credit for Trade Union Subscriptions, which I no longer pay. Despite trawling through the revenue website, and the paye online services, I cannot find how to have this credit removed. Does anyone know how to do so online, or will I have to ring them?

There's a 1890 number on the cert. Ring that & follow the instructions. Probably fastest way to do it.

I've emailed them to get stuff like this sorted. Otherwise I normally just write to them.

Thanks for the quick replies. Just thought I may have missed a "self service" method online.

You ring the locall number, call out your PPS number at the instruction, say "none of these" at the list of options, that puts you through to a "real operator" who will sort it in a matter of minutes. ( sometimes it's good to talk :D )

Providing you are registered you can certainly remove a tax credit online. I did it myself a couple of weeks ago. It was very easy just as is increasing an amount for bin charges etc.

Rang this morning and all sorted.

I only registered yesterday and so have to wait for post, but was hoping this type of change would be possible once registered fully alright.

Thanks to all again for the valuable input.
