yesterday i opened one of the windows in the sitting room. it opens out like a door.
the top hinge (which project out when the window is opened, and is concealed when window is closed) came off the window itself.
upon inspection it looks like some rust was eating away at the connection. i am not sure what exactly the connections are called (maybe rivets perhaps). not even sure how they came to be rust. maybe got wet when window was open sometime.
anyway, i was just wondering, does anybody know how to fix the hinge back to the window? is it possible just to use ordinary rivets? any help would be appreciated.
