Hi,

I recently put up a fence in the back Garden to keep my young dog in when we are not around the house (on a main road), anyway it is a post and rail type where the uprights are slighly hirer than the top rung. I know I have to cut them / angle them back at the top so that rain runs off the back. What I don't know is what it the best way of doing it - obviously some kind of saw, but they are 4" square posts and these about 10 of them, so I don't think I have the patience or skill to use a normal hand saw.

Any tips would be appreciated.

You can get caps for these posts, kind of squat pyramid shape. You just nail these on. Should give a nicer look that cutting chunks off the posts.

To cut them at a slope just use a circular saw. One pass is all that's needed. 15mins tops.

don't use a circular saw if the post are already up.(not very safe)
cut the tops of with a new handsaw.
if it's sharp it wouldn't take long at all.
noyeks or brooks sell the caps for them
