Hi, I am purchasing a house in Stoneybatter and have been advised by my solicitor to get my engineer to do a planning check. She told me I could do this myself either by going to the relevant planning office and requesting a check but not sure how to do this and where to go, any suggstions?

I can't believe 30 people looked at your question and nobody replied.

Have a look here (if you have broadband)

http://www.dublincity.ie/swiftlg/apas/run/wphappcriteria.display#

You can search by map or street name. All your really looking for in a planning search is that there are no plans to build something around your house that would devalue it (or up it's value) and/or that the planning for that extension out the back or the roof windows is in place.

Using the map feature you should click the icon that says view adjoining applications, then you can click on the map
