how to dismantle a ceramic disk tap?

Couldn't turn off the hot tap (Blanco Opera 6000 tap) without almost forcing it.

Have taken off the tap cover but the actual disk will not budge with the spanner - put some oil on it to lubricate it - but still will not move - any suggestions?

Wanted to dismantle it and check it before I order the new part from the UK.

Any advice appreciated.

Took Clonboy's advice - still won't move either way.

Thks Purple, saw that website earlier - problem is we can't get the ceramic disk out.

The chances are that the ceramic disc is a shrink fit in the metal tap. Steel will expand much faster than ceramic (has a higher coefficient of thermal expansion) so basically heat up the tap (in a pot of boiling water) and try to get it out (without burning yourself).
