How To Cover Brick Before Plastering

Hi,

I'm just getting some quotes from plastering contractors for a wet-dash finish on 3000sq ft self build. The problem is that I have red brick reveals around all windows and these will need to be covered somehow before plastering or they will get destroyed. Has anyone any suggestions on how to go about this? Plastic, cardboard, timber??

Yes, cardboard under timber over the bricks ....... the grout runs behind plastic. Make sure this is in place before the scud and scratch coats. Plastic over the window proper.
