Mist some filtered water onto it and when it's absorbed it gently wipe it off with a clean cloth or sponge. Don't wipe the jam around the screen. Keep misting it and using clean parts of the cloth/sponge.
Not dissimilar to removing dried bird-cr*p from car paintwork -- and just about as much fun.
Key is to avoid scratches from hard. dry material on the surface.
