How to claim tax relief for Pension Term Assurance premiums

Hi,

I have Personal Pension Term Assurance and believe I can claim tax relief for the premiums however I am a little unsure how to claim it.

One source I have read specified it's given as an extra tax credit, and another specified its something I claim in a tax return.

I have completed tax returns before and specific relief for pension contributions, but have never seen this listed as an option.

Any info would be appreciated
