Hi everyone, I have been asked for help on a management project which I had experience with back in 198???ish. I know I did a report on it on my old laptop. Here's the problem

I have dug out the laptop from the attic and find it is password protected!!! and yes.....I have forgotten the password.

Does anybody know of a way to bypass this? any help is much appreciated.

wondering ... if you could take out the hard drive and put it into an enclosure to read your docs that way?

I did it with a laptop of mine that had died .... thankfully I saved my docs.

It was xp though ... not windows 95

I seem to recall reading several articles way back suggesting that Windows 95 encryption can be broken - I'm sure you could google them.

ONQ.

Win95 has no encryption whatsoever. I guess you're referring to authentication. As above, Win95 was very much unsecure you should just be able to press ESC at the login prompt. you'll then be able to access the local machine, although you wont be able to access any of the network resources.
