How safe are the online only banks compared to the bricks and mortor types. Thinking of putting my SSIA into RaboDirect. Is there any danger that they could go bust and take my money with them ?

There've been a few posts about this before. Rabobank are bigger than AIB and Bank of Ireland combined. Of course there's as much chance of them going bust as any other large bank but it's very small!
There are plenty of threads here that talked about this before. bottom line Robo are bigger than most irish bansks. just becausdse they don't have branches doesn't mean they're dodgy! They have office in Dublin, anyhow, read up thier website to reassure yourself.
