How much should I pay for an patio drawing plan?

I plan to have a 388 sqft wood patio built. An architect charged me for $750 for a drawing only. How much should I pay for the drawing plan? Do I need an architect to do this job? If not, who should I looking for? and how much should I pay for those who are not architects?

That is 36 square meters in metric terms.

Here in a Dublin,a fully qualified landscape designer or fully quallified horticulturalist would do that for you no problem and it would cost you around 250-300 euro for a site visit/consultation meeting and the plans drawn out to scale.This would also include a 3d drawing of the proposed finished patio area with some surrounding planting/greenery if you wished to proceed.
That price would be for site visit/consultation and 1:50 scale elavation/3d drawings only.
