I am currently receving Job Seekers benefit for 3 days a week. This is due to stop in 6 months time. I am working part time and my employer is paying A0 class PRSI for me. Will I be able to use these stamps to continue claiming JB when my current entitlement runs out and if so how many weeks contributions do I need to have. I am currently getting 98 euro for 3 days which I will miss when it is stopped. My hours at work will not be increasing. Thanks.

JB in 2008 is based on PRSI contributions paid in the year 2006.

No matter how many contributions you have paid, JB is only payable for 15 months (390 days). After that runs out, you can apply for Jobseeker's Allowance which is means-tested.

More information available on the DSFA website : www.welfare.ie
(sorry, can't get the exact link to the page, the DSFA site seems to be down 4.30pm Fri 21st).

Not sure what the OP's situation is but would he not either re-qualify for Jb after a break of 13 weeks, or qualify for Systematic Short-time working and JB,depending on the reasons for 3 day week in the first place

I actually only work 2.5 days a week but the social welfare consider that to be 3 days. seeing as my PRSI contributions are still being paid I was hoping that I was building up my benefits again.

To requalify, you need 13 weeks PRSI paid after 156 days benefit has been paid? OP should requalify based on what he says, depending on circumstances when benefit entitlement exhausts.
