How much materials

Hi,

I am considering digging out the front garden and replaceing it with pebbles. I would rather put a base layer of hardcore under it first as we will be parking a car on it and I suspect we may have the lot cobblelocked when fincances allow.

Can anybody give me an estimate of quanties for harcore and the stones themselves (nothing fancy).

The patch is about 12ft * 15ft

You will need about a foot deep of hardcore, depending upon ground conditions, and roll the hell out of it. going on your size you will require 6m3 of hard core in perfect conditions, this is about 10 tonne roughly half a load, cobble lock is 3 inchs deep so you would require about 3 inches of pebbles so you'll have no change in depth when you cobble lock also remember you will require an inch of sand when you go doing this.

Any way 10 tonne of hard core is about €120 maybe more now, the pebble about 2 tonne at €50 think its around €25 a tonne.
