How much can I borrow (for business)

Hi,

I am thinking about the idea of buying a Pizza place franchise.

I currently earn about 50K, have no savings, have recently bought a one bed appartement and have no loans.

I doubt the appartement is of much benifit as it is almost all morgaged. Would I have a chance of getting a business loan. Realistically, to get something I would be looking in the region of 100K-300K


What other options are available for raising finance when it comes to franchises?

I think you'd be lucky mambo, the bank would be taking all the risk and they're not exactly flush themselves at the moment.

Venture capitalists wouldn;t be interested either. I think your only option is an 'angel', i.e. a wealthy relation/friend, if you have one.

I guess a possibility would be parents providing colateral on the loan, but I am not that comfortable with that option to be honest

I have seen elsewhere on the next that you would need about 30% yourslef to get funding for a franchise, unless your well establisehed in business I guess most people would not have this.
