How much and do I need planning permission

Herself has got herself up the duff again (i was asleep again) so its time to extend the house and move a few rooms around.

Can anyone give me an idea on how much this will cost for the foundations, blockwork and roof to add 2 rooms to the back,totalling 22 sq
Also what would i be looking at knocking a 6ft hole in a wall and putting in an rsj, if it makes a difference its a bungalow

And finally, can I extend out the back to the side, or can I only go back .

Recently quoted 2,500 for an rsj and approx 100euro per sqf for bungalow extension. Shell and core was less.
