How long should we have to wait to get deposit back

Hi

Just wondering how long it should take for a landlord to give a tennant back their deposit.

House was in good order, needs a paint but I've been there 5 years, apart from that was in good condition when I left it.

How long should it take to get the deposit back ?

Yes I did see that alright ....one mans promptly is another man's months
